LUMOS II FT-IR Microscope

Manufacturer: Bruker Optics

SKU: Lumos II

Description

The LUMOS II is a standalone Fourier-transform infrared (FT-IR) microscope used for chemical imaging and microanalysis. It is particularly suited for applications such as failure analysis, material science investigations, and the identification of microscopic particles. The system employs a thermoelectrically cooled mercury cadmium telluride (TE-MCT) detector, eliminating the need for liquid nitrogen cooling while maintaining high infrared sensitivity. It can accommodate samples with a height of up to 40 mm. A key feature is its capability for rapid chemical imaging using focal plane array (FPA) detector technology, which allows for the collection of spectral data across a wide field of view in transmission, reflection, or attenuated total reflection (ATR) modes. The microscope provides high visual resolution in the sub-micrometer range and is operated via software that guides the user through measurement procedures. It includes features for regulatory compliance, such as automated tests for operational and performance qualification.
