LUMIstar Omega Luminescence Plate Reader

Description

The LUMIstar Omega is a filter-based microplate luminometer with a broad wavelength detection range from 240 to 740 nm. It is a compact, modular system certified for use with dual-luciferase reporter (DLReady) assays. The reader can perform measurements from both the top and bottom of a plate and includes integrated incubation up to 45°C or 65°C. It supports the use of up to two reagent injectors for automated reagent addition during kinetic assays. For specialized applications like BRET (Bioluminescence Resonance Energy Transfer), the system offers optional simultaneous dual-emission detection. An available Atmospheric Control Unit (ACU) accessory allows for precise regulation of oxygen (1% to 19%) and carbon dioxide (0% to 20%) levels within the measurement chamber, facilitating cell-based assays under physiological conditions. Standard measurement times are approximately 20 seconds for a 96-well plate and 55 seconds for a 384-well plate. The system is controlled by dedicated software for instrument operation and data analysis. The platform is also designed to be upgradeable to models with additional detection modes, such as fluorescence and absorbance.
