Labconco's Logic Class II, Type A2 Biosafety Cabinets are engineered to provide a contained workspace for procedures involving biological agents or hazardous particulates. They offer protection for the operator, the experimental material, and the laboratory environment. These cabinets are certified to NSF standards and are suitable for work with agents classified at Biosafety Levels 1, 2, and 3, as well as applications involving antineoplastic drugs or genetic material. The cabinets are available in multiple bench widths, including 2, 4, 5, 6, and 8-foot models, operating on 115-volt power. A defining feature is their airflow design: HEPA-filtered exhaust air is typically recirculated back into the laboratory. For applications involving minute quantities of volatile chemicals or radionuclides, an optional canopy connection kit allows the cabinet to be vented to an external exhaust system, converting it to a total exhaust configuration.
