Description

LECO's LM-Series comprises microindentation hardness testing systems used for determining the hardness of materials at a microscopic scale. These systems are applicable in both quality control and research laboratory settings. They are capable of applying test forces ranging from 1 gram-force to 1000 gram-force. Testing methods include Vickers and Knoop hardness scales, with some models featuring dual indenters for flexibility. The systems incorporate precision optical components for measuring indentations, such as photo-etched measuring reticles and adjustable diaphragms. A dual leaf-spring indenter mechanism is designed to ensure accurate and repeatable indent placement. Users can select from manual, semi-automatic, or fully automatic configurations, with options for video or image analysis. A variety of microscope objectives, typically from 2.5X to 100X magnification, are available to suit different sample sizes and resolution requirements.
