Description

The LEGENDplex Filter Plate is a specialized consumable component designed for use exclusively with BioLegend's LEGENDplex multiplex bead-based immunoassays. This 96-well plate is constructed with a membrane filter at the bottom of each well. Its primary function is to facilitate the washing and separation steps critical to the assay protocol. During the procedure, magnetic beads coated with capture antibodies are retained within the well by the filter while wash buffers are removed by vacuum filtration. This setup enables efficient removal of unbound substances and minimizes bead loss. The plate is typically sold in packs of five, providing sufficient materials for multiple assay runs. It is an essential part of the workflow for simultaneously quantifying multiple analytes, such as cytokines or chemokines, from a single small sample volume.
