LCMS-8045RX Triple Quadrupole LC/MS/MS Mass Spectrometer
Manufacturer: Shimadzu
SKU: LCMS-8045RX
Description
The Shimadzu LCMS-8045RX is a triple quadrupole LC/MS/MS system intended for routine quantitative analysis. It is designed to offer a balance of robustness, sensitivity, and operational cost. The mass analyzer uses molybdenum hyperbolic mass filters for the first (Q1) and third (Q3) quadrupoles, with Q1 incorporating additional post-rods. The system supports several ionization methods, including electrospray ionization (ESI), atmospheric pressure chemical ionization (APCI), a dual ionization mode, and micro-ESI. A heated ESI probe is used to promote ionization efficiency for a range of target compounds. The CoreSpray gas delivery system is implemented to improve reliability through optimized gas flow and nebulizer alignment. For data acquisition, the instrument has a scanning speed of 30,000 u/sec and a polarity switching time of 5 milliseconds. It is capable of ultra-fast MRM measurements, cited at up to 555 channels per second. An IonFocus electrode is included to help reduce matrix-related noise and contamination. Maintenance is designed for simplicity, with features like a tool-free needle detachment and a one-touch lever for accessing the ionization unit. The system also includes a Performance Concierge function for automated performance monitoring and predictive diagnostics. Control and data handling are managed through LabSolutions software, which offers options for method development, data review, and regulatory compliance support.
