Description

The Shimadzu LC-20AP is a series-type double-plunger pump engineered for preparative and large-scale liquid chromatography. It delivers a wide flow rate range from 0.01 to 150.0 mL/min and can withstand pressures up to 42.0 MPa (approximately 6,000 psi). A key feature is its ability to handle analytical, semi-preparative, and preparative applications without requiring a change of pump heads, due to a plunger capacity of 250 µL. Design improvements, including minimized dead volume and high-resolution motor control, enhance flow rate accuracy and precision, even at lower analytical flow rates. The unit supports method scaling between analytical and preparative workflows and is compatible with automated purification software. It also incorporates energy-efficient components that reduce power consumption compared to earlier models.
