Description

The LabGard ES (Energy Saver) series encompasses Class II, Type A2 biosafety cabinets from NuAire. These cabinets serve as primary engineering controls, offering protection for laboratory personnel, the materials being handled, and the external environment. They are suitable for work with low to moderate risk biological agents. A key operational parameter is the consistent 105 fpm (0.53 m/s) inflow velocity. The cabinets follow the Type A2 airflow pattern, where roughly 70% of the air is recirculated within the workspace after HEPA filtration, and the remaining 30% is exhausted, also through a HEPA filter. The series includes multiple cabinet widths, such as 3, 4, 5, and 6-foot models, with exterior dimensions varying accordingly. Design features across the line focus on ergonomics and economical operation, potentially including high-efficiency motors to prolong filter life and control systems for stable airflow management.
