Labculture® Class II, Type B2 (LB2) Biosafety Cabinet

Description

Esco Technologies' Labculture LB2 series is a line of Class II, Type B2 biological safety cabinets. This type of cabinet is characterized by total exhaust; all inflow and downflow air is discharged from the cabinet after passing through HEPA/ULPA filtration, making it suitable for work with volatile toxic chemicals or radionuclides. The cabinet maintains an inflow velocity of 105 fpm (0.53 m/s) and a downflow velocity of 60 fpm (0.30 m/s). It is constructed with a durable steel plenum and features an antimicrobial coating on interior surfaces. The design includes double-layer side walls kept under negative pressure to contain pathogens. For user ergonomics, it incorporates a raised armrest. The interior is designed with cleanability in mind, using a one-piece wall with curved corners, a dished work tray, and an angled drain pan. The control panel is centered and angled downward for accessibility. Multiple exterior width options are available, ranging from 44 to 102.4 inches, with corresponding interior work surface widths. Each cabinet is supplied with a stand, the height of which is adjustable.
