Description

The GRINDOMIX GM 300 knife mill from Verder Scientific is designed for the rapid homogenization and grinding of a wide range of food and biological samples. It accommodates large volumes, with a processing capacity of up to 4.5 liters, facilitating efficient preparation of substantial sample batches. Operation is supported by a robust 1.1 kW drive motor, capable of short-term peak power exceeding 3 kW, providing the necessary torque for demanding materials. The mill employs a set of four hardened blades, engineered to handle substances with high moisture, oil, or fat content, as well as dry, soft, and medium-hard products. A key functional feature is the ability to perform both pre-grinding and fine-grinding within the same unit. This is achieved through selectable operating modes: a standard cutting action, a reverse mode for impact grinding, and an interval mode for preliminary size reduction. User control is enhanced by a digital interface allowing precise speed adjustment from 500 to 4,000 rpm in 100 rpm increments, enabling optimization for specific sample types. For added convenience, the system can store up to ten standard operating procedures (SOPs). All components that contact the sample are constructed from materials suitable for autoclave sterilization. The grinding chamber is offered in plastic or stainless steel variants, and an optional gravity-fed lid is available to automatically adjust the chamber volume during processing, improving efficiency for smaller sample quantities.
