JMS-Q1600GC Single-Quad Mass Spectrometer
Manufacturer: JEOL USA, Inc.
SKU: JMS-Q1600GC
Description
The JMS-Q1600GC is a single quadrupole mass spectrometer configured for coupling with gas chromatography. It is intended for a broad range of applications, including environmental analysis, quality control, and material characterization. The mass analyzer is a high-precision hyperbolic quadrupole filter, which is paired with a plug-in pre-filter system designed to enhance performance and maintenance intervals. The system achieves a mass resolution of 2000 or better (full width at half maximum) at m/z 614. Detection is handled by a conversion dynode and secondary electron multiplier, capable of measuring both positive and negative ions. The standard ionization method is electron impact (EI), with chemical ionization (CI) and photoionization (PI) available as optional ion sources. A design feature includes a draw-out lens intended to reduce chemical noise, thereby improving detection limits for trace analysis. The ion source is designed for user serviceability and can be removed without tools for cleaning. For direct sample introduction, the system is compatible with direct insertion (DIP) and direct exposure (DEP) probes.
