Description

The Jaw Crusher BB 50 from Verder Scientific is a compact benchtop instrument for the coarse and pre-crushing of solid samples. It processes medium-hard, hard, brittle, and tough materials with a maximum feed size of less than 40 mm, depending on the material properties and crusher settings. Operating on a pressure principle, it is suited for a wide variety of substances including alloys, basalt, ceramics, coal, construction materials, glass, minerals, ores, quartz, rocks, and slag. The unit is designed for space efficiency and features a dust-tight housing to contain particulates. To prevent metallic contamination, the grinding chamber can be lined with ceramic materials. Instrument controls include a digital display for the gap width setting and a zero-point adjustment function for wear compensation, aiding in reproducible crushing results. The design incorporates a 1.1 kW industrial drive for effective size reduction.
