The J357 from Rudolph Research Analytical is positioned as a high-performance, research-grade automatic refractometer. It combines an extended measurement range (1.26 to 1.72 RI) with high accuracy, offering a resolution of ±0.00001 RI (or ±0.001 BRIX). Measurements are completed in under two seconds. Its dual electronic temperature control system regulates the sample from both the sapphire prism and the sample cover, enabling stable measurements at temperatures up to 120°C (with a standard range of 10°C to 100°C and an optional ±10°C extension). This design minimizes evaporation and ensures temperature uniformity. The instrument can be configured for automatic measurement initiation when the cover is closed. Its operation is fully automated, requiring no manual adjustment of shadow lines, making it suitable for demanding analytical applications where precision, speed, and temperature control are critical.
