IPZ-3000 Series Piezo Z-Axis Top Plate Insert

Description

The IPZ-3000 Series is a piezo-electric Z-axis positioning insert designed to add high-speed, high-resolution focus control to existing microscope XY stages. It is engineered to fit into the standard 110 mm x 160 mm (K-size) insert opening found on many microscope stages, allowing for a relatively straightforward retrofit. The insert utilizes piezo technology to provide nanometer-level precision in the Z-axis, with available resolutions of 2.2, 4.5, or 7.6 nm. It is capable of very rapid movement, with a typical move time of around 10 milliseconds. This design shares core technology with the manufacturer's PZ-2000 series stages but offers a modular solution for upgrading systems that already possess a suitable XY translation stage.
