Description

The Invitrogen EVOS S1000 Spatial Imaging System is a multiplex fluorescence imaging platform designed for the analysis of tissue sections. It integrates several imaging modalities, including spectral fluorescence, transmitted brightfield, and phase contrast, within a single instrument. A key capability is the system's capacity to image up to eight distinct fluorescent targets plus a DAPI counterstain in a single experimental round. This is facilitated by spectral unmixing software, which helps to minimize fluorescence crosstalk and improve data accuracy. The system can accommodate multiple samples, with a capacity for scanning up to four whole slides. It features automated functions such as a custom IR laser-based autofocus and software for whole-slide image stitching. A unified software interface guides users through the workflow, from initial overview scans and tissue navigation to final image processing, aiming to streamline the process for users with varying levels of experience.
