Invitrogen™ Bandmate™ Automated Western Blot Processor
Manufacturer: Thermo Fisher Scientific
SKU: BW1000
Description
The Invitrogen Bandmate Automated Western Blot Processor is a benchtop instrument that automates the manual incubation and washing steps of western blotting. It is designed to process up to four mini-blots or two midi-blots simultaneously using standard laboratory reagents. Users can program the device to replicate existing manual protocols, with control over key parameters such as incubation time, rocking speed, dispensing volume, and the number of wash repetitions. Incubation times can be set from one minute to 96 hours, and rocking speeds are adjustable from 5 to 40 cycles per minute. A notable feature is its efficient reagent use; the specialized tray design requires as little as 3.5 mL of antibody solution for mini-blots. Both primary and secondary antibodies can be recovered after use. The instrument includes a programmable rinse step and has external dimensions of approximately 15.5 by 24 by 16.5 inches.
