Invitrogen™ Attune™ Flow Cytometers

The Invitrogen Attune Flow Cytometers are benchtop analyzers designed for flexible multicolor panel analysis. These systems can be configured with up to four spatially separated lasers, enabling the detection of up to 14 fluorescent colors. A defining feature is the use of acoustic-assisted hydrodynamic focusing, which minimizes clogging and allows for the rapid processing of diverse sample types, including large cells and dissociated tissues. The instrument supports high sample throughput, with flow rates selectable up to 1,000 µL per minute and data acquisition speeds reaching 35,000 events per second. Standard excitation wavelengths include 405 nm, 488 nm, 532 nm, 561 nm, and 637 nm. The included Attune Cytometric Software provides an intuitive interface for operation and data analysis, with an available module for environments requiring 21 CFR Part 11 compliance. A specialized model, the Attune CytPix, integrates a high-speed brightfield camera to capture morphological images of cells concurrently with flow data. This allows researchers to correlate over 25 image-derived parameters with standard cytometric measurements for deeper biological insight. The system uses a volumetric syringe pump for direct cell counting without reference beads. Available configurations and accessories, such as the CytKick autosamplers and various laser upgrade kits, provide options for automation and system expansion to meet specific experimental needs.
