The Investigator Quantiplex Pro Kit is a ready-to-use quantitative real-time PCR (qPCR) assay for forensic and human identity testing. It is designed to quantify total human DNA from a 2 µl sample volume with a sensitivity of less than 1 picogram per microliter. Beyond simple quantification, the kit provides quality assessment, offering information on DNA degradation status and the potential presence of PCR inhibitors in the sample. This analysis helps determine if a sample contains sufficient intact DNA for downstream profiling techniques like STR, SNP, or DIP analysis. A key feature is an internal control (IC) designed to be more sensitive to inhibitors while maintaining reliable quantification results, correlating with the tolerance levels of subsequent STR amplification workflows.
