Description

This handheld device provides semi-automated capping and decapping for tubes arranged in 96-well SBS format racks. It functions as an 8-channel unit, processing a single column of eight tubes in approximately four seconds. A complete rack of 96 tubes can be handled in under 90 seconds. The instrument is powered by a rechargeable battery, which supports the capping or decapping of more than 40 full racks per charge, or it can be operated via an AC adapter (input: 100-240V, 50/60Hz). It features interchangeable cap driver cartridges to accommodate different tube types and uses individually controlled motors to apply consistent torque for uniform seal integrity. Operation is managed through simple action and eject buttons, and the design is ambidextrous. The system includes a docking station for charging and for contamination-free cap handling.
