Amerex Instruments' IncuMax 80L Incubator (catalog number IC80) is a compact, general-purpose unit suitable for a variety of microbiological and incubation procedures. It operates within a temperature span from 5°C above ambient room temperature up to 80°C. The internal workspace offers a capacity of 80 liters (2.8 cubic feet), with dimensions of 50 cm in width, 40 cm in depth, and 40 cm in height. A PID microprocessor controller regulates the temperature, while a forced-air circulation system promotes uniformity and quick heat recovery across the stainless steel chamber. To help minimize contamination, incoming air is filtered. The incubator features a programmable timer with a maximum duration of 99 hours and 59 minutes and includes an independent over-temperature safety thermostat. The top-mounted control panel is easily accessible, and the door locks shut to ensure a tight seal, aided by a heat-resistant silicone gasket. A viewing window, which can be covered with a sliding panel for light-sensitive contents, allows for observation. The unit comes with two adjustable shelves and includes an access port for external temperature probes. Its external footprint is 62 cm wide by 52 cm deep by 62 cm high, and its design allows for stacking to save bench space.
