Description
The Incucyte S3 Live-Cell Analysis System from Sartorius is an automated imaging instrument for kinetic analysis of cells within standard laboratory incubators. It has a compact footprint, with dimensions of approximately 32.0 cm in width, 45.0 cm in depth, and 47.8 cm in height. The system is designed for a wide array of applications, including monitoring cell proliferation and confluence, apoptosis via caspase activity, cytotoxicity, migration and invasion, neurite outgrowth, and three-dimensional spheroid formation. It also supports assays for immune cell function, such as phagocytosis and cytotoxicity, as well as viral studies and reporter gene expression. By performing phase-contrast and fluorescence imaging directly inside a cell culture incubator, it enables continuous, label-free or multiplexed data collection over hours to days without manually removing culture vessels. This approach minimizes environmental disturbance and provides temporal data for dynamic biological processes.
