Description

The Innova S44i from Eppendorf North America is a floor-model incubator shaker engineered for high-capacity cell culture applications. It offers an orbital shaking motion with an adjustable speed range from 20 to 400 rpm. A key feature is its stackable design, which allows multiple units to be configured vertically to save laboratory space while increasing throughput. The unit provides precise temperature control from 20 °C below ambient up to 80 °C, with a minimum achievable temperature of 4 °C, ensuring uniformity across the shaking platform. It can accommodate a significant number of culture vessels, such as up to 39 one-liter Erlenmeyer flasks on a dedicated platform. Operational features include a touchscreen interface for system control and monitoring, along with data logging capabilities for compliance. The design incorporates semi-automatic counterbalance technology for smooth and reliable agitation during continuous operation.
