ImageXpress Micro 4 High-Content Imaging System

Description

The ImageXpress Micro 4 is a widefield, high-content imaging platform designed for applications ranging from fundamental research to high-throughput screening. It captures images of cellular and subcellular events, as well as whole organisms. A key feature is its fast frame rate technology, which enables the imaging of rapid biological processes like calcium signaling in cardiomyocytes. The system is highly modular, with available configurations that include confocal imaging, brightfield, phase contrast, integrated liquid handling, and environmental control modules. It supports multiple imaging modes, including fluorescence, confocal, widefield, colorimetric, and label-free phase contrast and brightfield. The platform can be field-upgraded with AgileOptix™ confocal technology for precise three-dimensional volumetric analysis. It offers a wide dynamic range for quantifying both low- and high-intensity signals within a single image. For high-speed applications, the system can image over 225,000 wells per day using a 4x objective with a 1536-well plate format. A selection of air and oil immersion objectives from 1x to 100x can be installed in its four-position objective turret. Optional environmental control of temperature, humidity, and CO2 levels facilitates extended live-cell experiments and kinetic studies.
