Description
The ImageXpress HCS.ai is a configurable high-content screening system designed for acquiring high-definition images from both 2D and 3D cell-based assays. It features a scientific CMOS (sCMOS) camera with a sensor size of 224 mm², a resolution exceeding 5 megapixels, a dynamic range greater than 3 logs, and a peak quantum efficiency of 95%. The system includes a six-position automated objective turret, offering high numerical aperture air objectives from 2x to 60x and extra-long working distance objectives at 20x and 40x. This flexibility supports imaging of various sample types, from monolayer cells to larger 3D models. The system is applicable to numerous research fields, including drug discovery, oncology, stem cell research, neurobiology, infectious disease study (such as COVID-19), organ-on-a-chip, and toxicology. Its associated software leverages artificial intelligence to aid in image analysis, aiming to provide deeper insights and robust data from complex phenotypic screens. The modular design allows the system to be configured and upgraded to meet evolving experimental requirements.
