Description

The ImageXpress Nano Automated Imaging System is a compact fluorescence microscopy platform designed for accessibility in various laboratory settings. It employs a solid-state light source and optical components to provide consistent sensitivity for a range of cellular assays. The system supports Nikon objectives from 2x to 60x magnification, allowing users to capture fine subcellular details. Its automated X, Y, and Z stages offer precise movement with a resolution finer than 25 nm. A key feature is the large field of view, which enables imaging of an entire well in a 384-well plate at 4x magnification for increased throughput. The system can be configured with up to five fluorescent filter cubes installed simultaneously, and the accompanying MetaXpress software supports acquisition across up to seven channels, facilitating multi-fluorescence and transmitted light experiments. This software also provides tools for 2D and 3D imaging, time-lapse analysis, and streamlined image processing. With dimensions of approximately 53 x 86 x 48 cm (21 x 34 x 19 in.), the system is suitable for applications including screening, RNAi studies, stem cell research, live-cell imaging, whole organism analysis, and homogeneous binding assays.
