Description

Hiden Isochema's IGA-003 is a dynamic gravimetric sorption analyzer engineered for advanced gas interaction studies. It distinguishes itself through a system of multiple, controllable gas inlets that allow for combined regulation of pressure, flow rate, and gas composition. At its core is an ultra-sensitive microbalance that tracks sample mass changes as functions of temperature, pressure, and the surrounding gas environment. The instrument covers a temperature range from 77 K to 1000 °C and offers standard pressure operation at 10 bar, with an optional 20 bar configuration. It is particularly suited for applications in energy storage research, catalyst characterization via Temperature Programmed Desorption, Oxidation, and Reduction (TPD/TPO/TPR), and gas adsorption capacity determination. A significant optional capability is fully integrated quadrupole mass spectrometry, which enables Evolved Gas Analysis (EGA) and Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA) by identifying gases released from the sample during heating. This combination of gravimetric and compositional analysis provides comprehensive data for kinetic and thermodynamic studies.
