Description

The IGA-002 Vapor Sorption Analyzer from Hiden Isochema is a gravimetric instrument designed for the detailed investigation of interactions between solids and vapors. It operates by precisely measuring changes in a sample's mass in response to controlled variations in temperature and pressure. This analyzer is capable of functioning across an exceptionally broad temperature spectrum, from 77 K to 1000 °C. Its standard operating pressure is 10 bar, with an optional upgrade to 20 bar available. Key applications include determining moisture and organic vapor sorption isotherms, calculating diffusion coefficients, and conducting thermodynamic and kinetic studies on gas sorption processes. A defining feature is its active vapor pressure regulation, which can be controlled down to 10^-3 mbar. The system incorporates anti-condensation protection for experiments up to 50 °C and maintains sample temperature with a high degree of stability and accuracy.
