Description
Bruker Optics' IFS 125 Series comprises high-resolution Fourier transform infrared spectrometers, including the laboratory-based IFS 125/HR and the mobile IFS 125/M model. These instruments are engineered for advanced gas-phase and high-resolution spectroscopy across an exceptionally broad spectral range, from the far-infrared (5 cm⁻¹) into the ultraviolet region (>50,000 cm⁻¹). The standard optical resolution is 0.008 cm⁻¹, with an optional upgrade to 0.0035 cm⁻¹ available for the highest precision studies. This performance enables the resolution of complex spectral lines for precise identification and assignment in both absorption and emission modes. The IFS 125/HR laboratory spectrometer features a glide-bearing interferometer for enhanced velocity stability and offers flexible configuration with access to multiple sources and detectors without breaking vacuum. The IFS 125/M is a transportable version designed for field applications, such as atmospheric research, while maintaining the core high-resolution capabilities of the series. Both models utilize modern electronics with 24-bit analog-to-digital conversion and Ethernet connectivity for data acquisition and control.
