Description

The HypoxyLab™ bench-top hypoxia chamber from Oxford Optronix Ltd. is a compact, self-contained unit for creating controlled low-oxygen environments for cell culture and tissue samples. Now in its third generation, the chamber has external dimensions of approximately 590 mm in width, 690 mm in depth, and 800 mm in height. It is designed to fit on a standard laboratory benchtop. The system provides precise control over the internal atmosphere, with oxygen levels adjustable from 1 to 175 mmHg, which corresponds to a range of 0.1% to 23% O2. Carbon dioxide concentration can be regulated from 0% to 18.0%. Temperature control is maintained from 5°C above ambient laboratory temperature. Its primary applications include tissue culture and cell-based research where stable, user-defined hypoxic conditions are required for experiments in fields like cancer research, ischemia modeling, and stem cell differentiation.
