Description

The Hyperion+ Imaging System, developed by Standard BioTools Inc., is a platform for spatial biology analysis utilizing Imaging Mass Cytometry (IMC). This technology employs antibodies conjugated to rare earth metal isotopes as tags, which are then detected by time-of-flight mass spectrometry. This approach allows for the simultaneous visualization of dozens of protein markers on a single tissue section without spectral overlap, providing highly multiplexed data. The system captures information at a whole-tissue scale while maintaining single-cell resolution, enabling researchers to map complex cellular interactions and phenotypes within their native tissue architecture. It is used to investigate spatial relationships in fields such as immunology, oncology, and neuroscience.
