TopAir's Hybrid Laminar Airflow Fume Hoods combine fume containment with a clean bench workspace. The primary construction material is 8 mm welded polypropylene, chosen for its high chemical resistance and non-corrosive properties. The unit employs a dual airflow system: a supply system with a pre-filter, HEPA filter, and fan that generates a laminar down-flow of clean air (Class 100/ISO 5) over the work surface, and an exhaust system that must be connected to external ducting. All incoming and down-flow air is ultimately captured and exhausted. Standard features include a 5 mm front safety glass sash with a counterweight, a polypropylene worktop (stainless steel optional), an integrated lower vented base cabinet, and 800 lux LED lighting isolated from the work area. Ventilation is provided through perforations in the front and sides of the worktop and a rear grille. The hood is controlled via a 10.1-inch color touchscreen VAV display, which monitors airflow and triggers alarms. The system automatically adjusts laminar air velocity based on the lab extraction and includes a safety shutdown for the down-flow if the inflow fails. Optional accessories include a sink, water/gas/vacuum taps, and electrical sockets. The hoods are CE certified and are available in multiple widths, with exterior dimensions ranging from 1200 mm to 2500 mm wide.
