Description

The HVA-85 is an 85-liter top-loading autoclave designed for general sterilization tasks in laboratory settings. It features a compact, space-saving footprint with an upward-opening lid. The unit operates within a temperature range of 105°C to 135°C. A standard integrated cooling fan accelerates the post-sterilization cooldown phase, reducing wait times. Safety is addressed through a dual lid interlock system that prevents the lid from being opened while a cycle is active, the chamber is pressurized, or the internal temperature is above 97°C. A door-closure sensor ensures cycles cannot initiate unless the lid is properly secured. Specialized functions include an agar sterilization mode, which sterilizes agar media and then automatically maintains it at a warm temperature to prevent solidification, and an agar melting mode for rapidly liquefying agar or enabling a faster system start-up. The chamber interior measures 16.5 inches in diameter by 24.2 inches in height. Operation is facilitated by a one-touch lever for opening and closing the lid, and an in-process display provides real-time status and progress information for the selected cycle.
