Description

The HV-85 is a top-loading autoclave with an 85-liter chamber capacity, designed for laboratory sterilization. It operates within a temperature range of 105°C to 135°C. The unit features a space-efficient vertical design where the lid opens upward, and it is equipped with caster wheels for portability. A microprocessor-controlled system manages several safety and operational functions. This includes a dual-sensing lid interlock that prevents opening when the chamber is pressurized or the internal temperature exceeds 97°C. An automatic air purging feature helps prevent over-pressurization during operation. The control panel allows for programmable cycle parameters, including a delayed auto-start function that can initiate a cycle up to one week in advance and a programmable steam exhaust rate. A door-closure sensor ensures the cycle will not begin unless the lid is properly secured. During operation, an in-process display provides real-time status and cycle progress. Specialized modes include an agar sterilization function, which sterilizes agar and then maintains it at a liquid temperature, and an agar melting mode for rapid preparation. A unique floating sensor accessory is available to monitor the actual temperature of the load, and the sterilization timer only activates once this load temperature reaches the set point. A memory backup system preserves user-programmed settings in the event of a power interruption. The chamber interior measures 16.5 inches in diameter by 24.2 inches in height, while the overall exterior dimensions are 26 inches wide by 25.6 inches deep by 39.4 inches high.
