Description

With a 50-liter chamber, the HV-50 autoclave provides a mid-range capacity for laboratory sterilization. Manufactured by Amerex Instruments, this top-loading model features microprocessor-based programming for automated operation. It allows cycles to be scheduled with a delay of up to one week. The design includes specific protocols for handling agar, featuring both a sterilization mode that maintains a liquid state and a dedicated melting function. Integrated safety features prevent lid opening under unsafe conditions, automatically manage chamber pressure, and verify door sealing. The sterilization timer engages only after the load temperature, potentially tracked with a floating sensor, attains the user-defined setpoint between 105°C and 135°C. Cycle progress is displayed during operation. The stainless steel chamber has an interior diameter of 11.8 inches and a depth of 28 inches.
