These instruments utilize a CCD camera system to perform automatic measurement of indentation lengths, which reduces operator influence and potential for error. The testers offer a selection of six test forces, ranging from 98.07 mN to 2.942 N, allowing for flexibility across different material types. A distinctive G-frame design provides an enlarged workspace, facilitating the testing of longer or larger specimens. The system includes an automatic lens switching function that adjusts magnification based on the indentation size. Operation is managed through PC software compatible with Windows 7, requiring an Intel Core 2 Duo processor or equivalent, with connectivity via USB.
