Description

The HG-80 is a top-loading autoclave from Amerex Instruments, designed for laboratory sterilization processes. It features a chamber with a working volume of 76 liters and an actual volume of 85.1 liters, with interior dimensions of 14.3 inches in diameter by 28.7 inches in height. The unit operates within a temperature range of 105°C to 135°C. User operation is facilitated by push-button controls for automatic lid opening and closing, eliminating the need for a foot pedal. A comprehensive safety interlock system prevents the lid from opening when the chamber is pressurized, the temperature is elevated, or a cycle is in progress. Programmable functions include an auto-start feature to initiate a cycle up to 99 hours later and selectable parameters for air removal prior to sterilization and steam venting after the cycle completes. To manage the laboratory environment, the autoclave incorporates a 15-liter steam condenser to contain exhaust and a built-in cooling fan to reduce post-sterilization cooling times. An overflow indicator lamp alerts the user when the drain bottle requires emptying. The device's control panel provides a clear display of cycle progress.
