The Hexalight Raman Spectrometer from Oxford Instruments is a core component of WITec360 Raman microscopes, featuring a lens-based, mirror-free optical design. It is engineered for high throughput and spectral flexibility across a broad UV-VIS-NIR range (350–1100 nm). The system supports confocal Raman and white-light microscopy and is typically equipped with CCD or EMCCD detectors. Its architecture includes six software-controlled grating positions, allowing for automated selection and future upgrades to adapt to new experimental needs. This design aims to provide precise, reproducible chemical imaging with high signal sensitivity, enabling the use of lower laser powers on sensitive samples. The spectrometer's sensitivity and efficient light path are intended to facilitate high-speed data acquisition and the detection of faint Raman signals, making it suitable for advanced research in multi-user environments.
