Ohaus's Guardian 2000 series offers a range of hotplates and stirrers built for routine laboratory heating and mixing tasks. These units are characterized by straightforward, knob-based controls for adjusting temperature and stirring speed, making them suitable for educational settings and general lab use. The heating elements can achieve temperatures from 70°C up to 500°C, while the magnetic stirrers operate within a speed range of 200 to 1600 rpm. They are capable of handling vessels with a maximum capacity of 15 liters. The durable housing incorporates a built-in holder for an optional support rod. Models that include a stirring function are supplied with PTFE-coated stir bars. Available in different plate sizes, with dimensions approximately 8.8 x 12.5 x 4.4 inches or 6.4 x 10.4 x 4.3 inches, these devices provide an economical solution for everyday applications requiring reliable thermal and agitation performance.
