GPC-IR

Manufacturer: Polymer Char

SKU: GPC-IR

Description

The GPC-IR is a fully automated, high-temperature gel permeation chromatography (GPC/SEC) system from Polymer Char, specifically optimized for the characterization of polyolefins. Its integrated infrared (IR) detector enables simultaneous measurement of molar mass distribution and chemical composition distribution, providing data on short-chain branching. The IR detector offers a broad spectral range, which is particularly useful for analyzing copolymers containing carbonyl groups and for applications like identifying components in post-consumer recyclates. The system's column oven operates from 40°C to 250°C. It can be equipped with additional detectors, including viscometer and light scattering detectors, for comprehensive polymer analysis. The autosampler handles either 42 or 66 sample vials consecutively. Key features include automated sample preparation with controlled dissolution times, in-line filtration, and dedicated software. It is recommended for polymers such as HDPE, PP, LDPE, LLDPE, EP copolymers, EVA, and EBA.
