Description

This inverted microscope from Globe Scientific is designed for life science applications, particularly for observing living organisms and cell cultures. Its inverted configuration allows users to view samples contained in standard culture dishes or flasks placed on the stage. The instrument features a trinocular head inclined at 45 degrees, which facilitates comfortable viewing and provides a port for attaching a camera. The interpupillary distance is adjustable from 54 to 75mm, and the left eyetube includes diopter adjustment. Illumination is provided by a 5W NeoLED light source for transmitted light. The revolving quintuple nosepiece holds a set of plan phase contrast objectives with long working distances (IOS), specifically compensating for the 1.2mm thickness of typical petri dish bottoms. The included objectives offer magnifications of 10x, 20x, and 40x. This model is suitable for phase contrast observation of tissue cultures and living cells.
