Description

The G Series Large Genie from RephiLe Bioscience is a benchtop purification system engineered for laboratories requiring substantial volumes of high-purity water. It produces both Type I ultrapure water, characterized by a resistivity of 18.2 MΩ.cm at 25°C, and Type II electrodeionization (EDI) water directly from a standard potable water supply. Two primary models are available, distinguished by their EDI water output rates of 30 or 60 liters per hour. The system incorporates an integrated pretreatment pack for initial filtration, dechlorination, and scale prevention, which often removes the necessity for supplementary external pretreatment units. Its physical dimensions are 57 cm wide, 46 cm deep, and 67 cm high, offering a relatively compact footprint for its output capacity. Installation is designed for flexibility, allowing the unit to function as a standalone benchtop device, be mounted on a wall, or placed on an optional distribution module. Operation is managed through a waterproof touchscreen interface. A distinctive '1+N mode' enables a single main unit to supply water to several remote dispensing points. For applications demanding exceptionally low levels of biological contaminants, an optional RephiBio filter can be added to yield water that is free of pyrogens, nucleases, and bacteria. The system employs RFID technology to monitor consumable usage and stores operational data logs for a period of up to two years, supporting data export and user management. Maintenance procedures are designed to be performed without tools. Typical applications include the preparation of HPLC mobile phases, reagent blank solutions, sample diluents for analytical techniques such as GC, HPLC, and ICP-MS, buffers and media for cell culture, and reagents for molecular biology workflows.
