FT4 Universal Powder Rheometer

Description

Malvern Panalytical's FT4 Universal Powder Rheometer is an analytical system designed to measure the flow and handling properties of powdered materials. It performs a suite of tests to characterize bulk properties, dynamic flow, shear behavior (following ASTM D7981), and process-relevant performance. The instrument can simulate various conditions encountered in manufacturing, such as consolidation, stress, aeration, and fluidization, to predict powder behavior in real processes. It operates with a maximum rotational speed of 120 rpm and can apply a maximum force of ±50 Newtons. The unit's sensitive detection system can differentiate between powders with subtle rheological differences. Its physical dimensions are 306 mm in width, 306 mm in depth, and 760 mm in height. The data generated by the FT4 are used in formulation science, process design, and quality assurance within sectors including pharmaceuticals, specialty chemicals, and powder-based manufacturing.
