Verder Scientific's FST 1 Zone Split Tube Furnace is a compact thermal processing unit for laboratory use. Its defining characteristic is a split heating chamber that opens to allow straightforward loading and unloading of sample tubes or crucibles. The furnace achieves a maximum operating temperature of 1300°C within its single heated zone. It is compatible with a variety of atmospheric conditions, including oxidizing environments (air), inert gases such as nitrogen, argon, forming gas, Varigon, and carbon dioxide, as well as vacuum operation. The heating elements are constructed from 5mm APM wire. The unit includes safety over-temperature protection and can be installed in either a horizontal or vertical orientation to accommodate different experimental configurations. This versatility makes it applicable for processes like sintering, annealing, and thermal synthesis of materials.
