FRC-40 Fraction Collector

Description

The Shimadzu FRC-40 is a fraction collector compatible with HPLC systems. It manages flow rates up to 150 mL per minute and can sort eluate into as many as 540 individual fractions. Integrated software includes a fraction simulation function that helps target specific chromatographic peaks by automatically setting relevant collection parameters. System adjustments, such as pump flow rate, can be modified during an active run for real-time method optimization. The collector can acquire data from up to four detector channels concurrently and works with various containers like microtiter plates, vials, test tubes, and bottles. Software-defined collection racks help prevent cross-contamination between different users or samples. An open-access design allows for rack exchange while the system is running, enabling sequential purifications on one HPLC instrument. Up to six FRC-40 units can be linked to a single chromatograph to increase total collection capacity, with a potential maximum of 3,240 fractions when using specific tube setups.
