Description

This 3.8ml sample storage tube from Azenta Life Sciences is engineered for high-throughput, traceable archiving. It is supplied in a 48-format, fitting standard SBS footprint racks. A defining characteristic is its integrated tri-coding system, which provides three permanent, matching identifiers on each unit: a laser-etched 2D matrix code on the tube base, a 1D linear barcode, and a human-readable numeric code on the side. This system enhances sample tracking and data integrity across automated platforms and laboratory information systems. Constructed from virgin polypropylene, the tube features an external screw thread for use with compatible caps and is rated for cryogenic storage conditions. The base-mounted 2D code allows for scanning without tube removal, supporting efficient workflow management. With a working volume of 3.8ml, it is applicable for biobanking, compound library storage, cancer research, and secure reagent archiving in drug discovery and CDMO environments.
