Formatted for 48-well SBS racks, this FluidX tube provides a 1.5 ml working volume and features an external screw thread. The virgin polypropylene construction ensures durability and performance under cryogenic storage conditions. Its primary function is to provide secure, traceable sample containment through a tri-code identification system. Each unit is laser-etched with a matching set of identifiers: a 2D matrix code on the base, a linear 1D barcode, and a human-readable number. The base-mounted 2D code allows for scanning without tube removal from the rack, aiding efficient automated processing. These tubes are intended for applications requiring stringent sample management and audit trails, such as long-term biobanking, compound library storage, cancer research, and molecular biology protocols. They are supplied in cases of 480 tubes, which can be configured as 10 racks or as a bulk quantity of loose tubes.
