Description

Azenta Life Sciences manufactures this 0.7 ml capacity tube for sample storage and identification. It is made from virgin PPA, providing robustness suitable for cryogenic environments. Identification is handled by a dual-coding system, featuring a laser-etched 2D barcode and a corresponding human-readable number, both permanently marked on the tube base. This configuration aids sample traceability in manual, semi-automated, and fully automated laboratory workflows. The tubes are formatted for 96-well SBS-compatible racks. They can be purchased pre-racked or in bulk, with cases containing either 960 tubes or 10 racks. An internal thread design allows for use with specific screw caps or septum caps. The product is intended for research applications such as biobanking, cellular and molecular biology studies, and drug discovery, where maintaining a reliable chain of custody for biological and chemical samples is necessary. The coding is positioned to be readable while tubes remain in their storage racks, supporting compatibility with various laboratory automation systems.
