Description

With a 0.5 ml working volume, this dual-coded tube is designed to support sample integrity and traceability in research settings. It is made from virgin polypropylene, a material chosen for its performance with biological and chemical samples, including during cryogenic storage. The tube utilizes an external thread to accommodate a range of sealing caps. For identification, it carries two identical, laser-etched codes on its base: a 2D datamatrix and a human-readable number. This allows the codes to be scanned while the tube remains in its rack, supporting both manual and automated processing workflows. The tube conforms to the 96-format standard, fitting SBS-footprint racks for compatibility with integrated laboratory automation systems. Its applications include biobanking, cellular and molecular biology studies, drug discovery, and reagent storage. Cases are supplied with either 960 individual tubes or 10 pre-filled racks.
