Description

This 0.26 ml sample storage tube from Azenta Life Sciences is engineered for reliable sample tracking and cryogenic storage. It is fabricated from virgin polypropylene, a material selected for its consistency and low-temperature durability. A key feature is its external thread design, which allows for secure sealing with compatible screw caps or septum caps. For sample identification, each tube is permanently marked with two identical codes: a 2D datamatrix and a corresponding human-readable number. One code is located on the tube base and the other on the side, enabling scanning without removing the tube from its rack. This configuration supports integration with automated systems for capping, reading, and sample management. The tube conforms to the 96-format standard, fitting SBS-compatible racks for high-density storage and processing. It is intended for research applications including biobanking, compound library storage, cellular and molecular biology, and drug discovery. The product is supplied in cases containing 960 individual tubes or 10 pre-filled racks.
