FLS1000 Photoluminescence Spectrometer
Manufacturer: Edinburgh Instruments Ltd
SKU: FLS1000
Description
Edinburgh Instruments' FLS1000 is a modular, research-grade spectrometer for comprehensive photoluminescence analysis. It supports both steady-state and time-resolved fluorescence and phosphorescence measurements across an exceptionally wide spectral range. Emission detection is possible from 160 nm in the deep ultraviolet to 5500 nm in the mid-infrared. The system's modular design allows users to configure it with various light sources, including a 450 W ozone-free xenon arc lamp, a microsecond flashlamp, and picosecond pulsed diode lasers or LEDs. Detection is handled by photomultiplier tubes for the UV to NIR and by analogue detectors for the NIR to MIR regions. The instrument features high-resolution monochromators (0.05 nm) and a spacious sample compartment for integrating accessories like cryostats or integrating spheres. All system functions are controlled through the proprietary Fluoracle software suite. A key performance metric is a measured sensitivity exceeding 35,000:1 for the water Raman peak, indicating high signal-to-noise capability.
